Hans Petter Hoel is a Norwegian entrepreneur and co-founder of Receipts, a fintech startup established in 2021 that specializes in delivering digital receipt solutions. The company's platform enables consumers to receive digital receipts directly in their online banking applications, bridging the gap between banks and cashier systems to enhance the payment experience. Prior to founding Receipts, Hoel played a significant role in the Norwegian payment industry by re-establishing BankAxept, the dominant card payment system in Norway, during 2013 to 2015. Under Hoel's leadership, Receipts has achieved notable milestones, including being recognized as the best Norwegian company in Mastercard's Lighthouse FINITIV program in May 2024. Additionally, in early 2025, the company secured NOK 20 million (approximately €1.7 million) in an investment round led by DNB Ventures, with participation from OBOS, Såkorn 1 Midt, and Antler, valuing the company at over NOK 100 million.
