With more than 10 years of experience of heading complex statistical modeling projects, he is now the director and tech excellence lead in Tryg. Since 2018 Karl Ove has established and headed data science teams both in Norway and Denmark. From 2022 he was responsible for Portfolio Management and AI & Analytics in Tryg Norge Private Lines. Here, he also has an extended responsibility for fostering organizational technical excellence. Affiliated part time as an Associate Professor in Economics at Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), where he provides a master course in Insurance Analytics. Moreover, when time allows, he tries to focus on research and has published papers in several academic journals. Before all this and entering the insurance industry, he worked as a researcher in Statistics Norway and an adviser in the Norwegian Ministry of Finance.
