Gunnlaugur is the founder and CEO of the Icelandic Fintech Cluster. He founded the Fintech Cluster in 2018 and has grown it to 90 members, ranging from banks and universities to the earliest of startups, organizing events, establishing international relations, starting an innovation center, and mentoring and connecting people. Gunnlaugur is also one of the founders of Veriate, a discussion platform for media.
